These Finnegans appear to be a blend of Steampunk-style goggles and the side-shield sunglasses that were popular back in the 80s. The lenses are a little bigger than what I'm accustomed to wearing, but they're not BIG big. They're pretty comfortable, which is always a plus since this is the kind of accessory you'd rather try on before buying. I haven't been able to truly test them out on a brutally-sunny day yet, but I do know that the side shields do an excellent job of hugging my temples and blocking all of the peripheral glare. Strangely enough, I actually wish these were a little bit heavier than they are, because their light weight almost makes them seem like they're of a lower quality.
